The Feast of Bridget was held in proper style again for the first time in many years. Gathering together in such a large hall with a huge kitchen and a separate common room for the feast was the perfect tonic against the dry cold of the winter months. The Clann was unanimous in the hope that we will be able to secure these halls again in future.

The folk began to arrive at about an hour after noon, carrying in all the ingredients that would be required to prepare a grand day board and feast. Day board was laid out with many cheeses, breads, vegetables, and home made jerkys by Aoife, and sausages by all (fresh from our sausage making day). For feast there was a fine rib-eye roast, millet and peas, leafy greens and breads and cheese as well as libations of many different sorts.

The children of the Clann had space to run or sit quietly and play games in comfortable chairs. There was a raised stage where the bards of the Clann set their instruments and sat to perform on white sheep skin. Eberwulf as bard sang and played the Mull of Kintyre which he had prepared for the event to great applause. The Great Table was arranged and spread with woven plaid cloths and adorned with candles, laden with boxes of baubles and coin, fine ceramics and iron feast gear. Sheet walls normally only seen at Pennsic were hung on the walls beside household and Clann banners.

Crafts of various kinds were laid out for review including a large carving of a Sun by Vollund, many sewn cloth gaming boards by Sabha, metalwork by Brogan (who wore fine shoes he made after a Viking pattern at Pennsic). Brogan also brought materials to do pewter casting and many in the Clann cast copies of a Clann Sun mold made by Yvan in his honor.

Old friends arrived to share in the feast and the revelry including Bosh and Rhiannon and later, Aranac and Lorelei. The Druid donned his robes and blessed the gathered offering hope for a prosperous growing season to come. The halls were cleared about an hour past mid night.

Thanks for sharing this report, know that myself and Eliana were both missing being there to share this day the Clann. Sounds like a most wonderful celebration.
Looking forward to being there for Beltaine
