Ireland of the Tain

from The Tain translated by Thomas Kinsella from the Irish epic Táin Bó Cuailinge, Oxford University Press, 1969

The Tain describes a period in Irish history which may be any time between the birth of Christ to the 5th century. In any case, the place names on this map would likely have been familiar to men of the period we strive to re-enact.
