Keira's Silent Auction
For the next two weeks "Keira's Silent Auction" will be going on.
Keira is my granddaughter, and thanks to the fact that NY State has mandatory CF testing we learned early on that she had Cystic Fibrosis. Without this testing (which many States do NOT have) she could have slowly starved, been unable to breath and possibly died.
Each year we hold a silent auction for her medical fund. So far we have been very lucky. She is now 2-1/2 years old and she has only had one lung infection that has required hospitalization.
This year, we have been blessed with many new additions donated by the kind folks at Woodnet Forums Additionally, I have made a handful of items re-enactors might find of interest as well as donated some blacksmithing tools.

Finally, 50% of this year's auction amount (up to $500) is being matched by the auction host and founder, Joe Fisher (Keira's godfather) and will be given to the CF Foundation to help out everyone else who has CF.

Just a quick note to update anyone here who may be involved in the Auction.
FYI, the auction will be ending tomorrow Sunday 23rd @ 8:00pm EST. So if you have not signed up for email notification, double check your bids to make sure you're still on top :)
Additionally, be sure to scroll down the item listing again. Several new items were offered for sale after the auction started.

Well folks the auction is
Well folks the auction is officially over, and I have two things to say: WOW & THANK YOU!
$1264 was raised by the auction proper. Another $335 was donated by people who did not wish to bid on an item. And finally, $1000 was donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the form of a "matching donation".
Now, down to the practical nuts and bolts stuff.
Winners have been sent an email from "Joe Fisher" (the auction administrator) with the subject "Keira's Silent Auction Results". Please keep an eye out for it in case it gets caught by a junk/spam mail catcher. You will need to reply to it with your shipping info.
Finally, I want to tell you I can't express fully our deep felt thanks at your generosity.
