This was our old community tent. It covered and area of 30 feet by 60 feet. It was 20 feet high at its peaks. Some of the most awesome parties were thrown under this tent. These were in the days when Pennsic wasnt as popular as it is today and land alotment was more generous. These were also the days when only a select few groups were willing to camp in the bog. The bog, quite literally, was a bog back in those days. After a good rain, it was commonplace to have to bail out your tent and to sink up to your calfs in muddy puddles. We had a problem with the poles of the big top sinking into the mud and lowering the roof. When dry, the ground was hard packed clay and made digging post holes for the sheetwall quite a task.
