You can just smell it, can't ya? This is how we cook the feast... meats roasting over an open fire, searing in the tasty juices... cauldrons of pottage, made with oatmeal and chicken broth and vegetables, bubbling away happily in the coals...it sure makes fifth century Ireland a yummy place to spend your time! Don't forget, though - NO POTATOES! Potatoes didn't reach the shores of Ireland until much later on... so we enjoy mashed turnips instead! Mmmmmmmmmm!!
