Yvan was one of the first Norselanders I met back in 1990 at my first event. Here is a picture I took of him at the snowy Spring Thyng around that time, when I camped on a frozen spring. Yvan is showing off the detail on a helm he made. The metal work depicts himself being held back from charging into battle (by Morkar I think) by chains.
