Textile processing

Post by sabha »

I came across a great video showing how fiber was processed into cloth in our time period. The plant matter she is working with at the beginning of the video is linen. They then show using clay to make spindle whorls (the little ones) and warp weights (the big donuts). The fiber being spun isn't the flax, but is probably wool.

The video was made by an experimental archaelolgy group founded in Denmark in the 60s.
