That's explains why they did not identify themselves as such. One of the Norselanders had indicated they were.
Then were there NO members of TdB at Fall Thyng?

Re: Fall Thyng, 2007 Toys
Well Fall Thyng was definitely a blast. According to the Troll, there were 64 people on the grounds; so (as I was told) one of their largest gatherings in a while. Although I brought the 400CE Irish forge, I didn't realize no ground fires were allowed. And since the forge is nothing much more than a...

Fall Thyng, 2007 Toys
It looks like I will be attending Fall Thyng. Are there any of our (Ancient Celtic Clans) "toys" people here would specifically like me bring? Some of our past projects (the toys) can be seen here If there are people interested in doing some 400CE blacksmithing I'd be happy to bring the eq...

Re: Celtic Re-enactor Wiki
The Celtic Re-enactor Wiki has been started. So far we have 4 people contributing (not including myself). If anyone from here would like to be part of the contribution team simply send me an email (gobae@oakandacorn.com) and put "Wiki-Signup" in the title. I'll then create an account for y...

Re: Celtic Re-enactor Wiki
Because that would put us very nearly back in the same boat as you described with spammers and contributors with dubious research mucking up the pages. Additionally, re-enactors searching Wikipedia would have to wade through many more erroneous hits to find historical Celtic information. The only ad...

Re: Celtic Re-enactor Wiki
Yes, that's basically what we plan to do. We're basically using a wiki engine to ease this cooperative project, not subscribing to the "Wiki-society" philosophy. Here's what we currently have worked up as guidelines. Users/Contributors Anonymous - The typical user off the "street"...

Celtic Re-enactor Wiki
I was thinking of setting up a Celtic Re-enactor's Wiki. This would allow us to describe and source anything: weapons, tools, tribes, terms, digs, books, and more. Of course this could potentially be big undertaking, but if there is interest in helping to contribute I'd be happy to put one up and ho...

Re: Drinking Horns
Brogan - Oh, I like that idea. The last horn (which I made a "horn" out of) had junk in it that I was never able to fully get out. Now, I had soaked it in bleach/water so given that I wasn't drinking from it, it was "good enough". But, this is a little different. Comyn - What sor...

Drinking Horns
Does anyone have methods for cleaning the inside of steer (cow) horns that will be used for drinking? Tandy Leather has 12" horns for a reasonable price. However, they often come with "schmutz" in them.
Secondly, is there a need to coat the insides after they're cleaned?

Agreed
Yes, the author indicated that he was starting with death of Ness' twelve foster fathers and going right on through to the death of Medb. In general I think it's high time for these stories to be retold in contemporary English and in a variety of formats. The bulk of the "Celtic Myth" book...
