from The Tain translated by Thomas Kinsella from the Irish epic Táin Bó Cuailinge, Oxford University Press, 1969

Megalith Map: stone circles and rows in Ireland plotted on megalithic.co.uk The UK site megalithic.co.uk which has been a one-stop shop for the latest news on all things megalithic since 1997, also offers a neat Megalith Map which allows you to plot the location of various types of Megalithic structures across the UK, including: Rock Outcrops, Erratics, Henges, Timber Cricles, Ancient Trackways, Ancient Villages, Long Barrows, Round Barrows, Megalithic Tombs, Standing Stones, Stone Circles & Rows, Rock Carvings, Caves and Quarries, Brochs and Forts, Hill forts, Holy wells, Pictish Symbol stones, Ancient Temples, Crosses, and more!
The site is looking to launch a sister site to plot Roman and Dark Ages data sometime in the future, so keep an eye on it. You can submit data points to help improve their database.

I'm not sure what the source is on this map anymore (bad notes), but I had saved it with the express purpose of offering it for reference here at one time in the past. It's interesting because it shows the family names for the various Scottish Clans and their locations across Scotland.
